Doggy Dashers Virtual Run & Walk

The Doggy Dashers Virtual Run & Walk is an opportunity to celebrate National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week in a fun, healthy, flexible event. It benefits animals in need through Northwest Boxer Rescue! We had such a great time hosting The Puppy Run for hundreds of dog-loving adults, kiddos, and four-legging running buddies nationwide, we had to bring another woof-tastic time to all of you!

A woof and a welcome to ya!

Step One: Sign up for the Doggy Dashers Run & Walk! You can pick your activity (run or walk), distance (5K or 10K), and join us as an individual or as part of a team. Registration is open from 8/25/15 to 10/9/15 or until we sell out. We encourage participating as a team -- you get to come up with a clever name, invite others, share experiences, and (hopefully) even run together as a group!

Step Two: You’ll receive Doggy Dashers swag in the mail -- including a fancy finisher’s medal, shirt, bib number, and more! Plus, if you add a kid or dog registration, we’ll include fun items for them too. Kids get a finisher’s medal and bib number, as well as a drawstring bag and foldable frisbee! Dogs get a bandana and collapsible water bowl to keep them happy and hydrated!

Step Three: Get out, run or walk, and earn your swag! You can do the whole distance at once or split it up over multiple days. Grab some friends, your dog, your kid, or fly solo -- it’s up to you! Then post a pic, share your Doggy Dashers experience, and cheer on others too. (You might even win a special award or prize!)

Step Four: Check out stories and photos from fellow dog-lovers nationwide, and feel great knowing you just contributed to a great cause in Northwest Boxer Rescue!

ADULT / KID REGISTRATION

Adults and kiddos will get a shirt, medal, race bib, and more for this event!

For the shirt, not only is it a super-soft cotton/poly blend shirt that you’ll love wearing, it also says you’re a proud supporter of animal rescue! Adult shirts come in gender-specific fits, and we have men's, women's, and youth sizing. Click here to see more info on sizing details.

You also deserve a shiny medal for your impressive doggy-dashing accomplishments! We’ve designed some beautiful bling just for you -- to help you remember the Doggy Dashers experience for a long time to come. All medals come with a ribbon to help you display your newest accolade.

And, lastly, you'll receive a customizable Tyvek® bib (made of the good stuff!) with your very own race number to share in pictures, hang on your wall, or include in your scrapbook!

The Doggy Dashers Virtual Run & Walk is presented by Northwest Boxer Rescue! For every registration and any additional donations, a generous contribution will go towards empowering NWBR’s mission: “Every boxer deserves to live a happy life in a loving home”.

NWBR helps abandoned and homeless boxers -- young and old -- to find shelters, get medical care, and seek out a lasting home. Its network of foster homes spans throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and California. We hope you will join us in helping them make a positive difference on the lives of many animals in need.

Once you have completed your virtual run or walk (between 11/6/15 and 11/9/15), you can report your results on The Doggy Dashers Participant Website to be eligible for awards and prizes!

Is this a virtual run? You’re darn right, it is!

What exactly is a virtual run & walk? A virtual run & walk is similar to a local running race. However, instead of heading to one pre-determined event location, you sign up, become part of a dog-loving, digital community across the country, and receive exclusive swag in your mailbox. You can run on your own schedule, where and with whomever you'd like, and submit your times and photos online to win fun awards and prizes!

Why should I participate in a virtual run? You’ll get to join dog-lovers across the country in a fun, healthy event that benefits animal rescue! What’s not to like??

What is Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week? Started by the Humane Society of United States in 1996, ASRAW happens every first week of November to acknowledge and promote the invaluable role played by shelters and other animal welfare organizations in their communities. It also strives to raise awareness for animal welfare issues and shelter services.

Who can participate? You, your family, your friends, and (if you have one) your dog -- non-boxers too, of course!

Can I join this event with a group of fellow dog-lovers? Absolutely! Just select the “Create a team” or “Join a team” link on the registration page. We even have an award for largest team!

When will I receive my t-shirt and medal? Your t-shirt, medal, and bib number will be mailed out about a week prior to the event.

Do the medals come with a ribbon? Yes indeed! Each medal will come with a ribbon, so you can wear or hang that baby with pride!

I have a cat. Can he/she participate? Most certainly not.

I don’t live in the United States, can I still participate? Unfortunately, if you live outside the US, we do not cover shipping to those locations at this time. Registrations outside of the US will be cancelled and refunded.

That said, if you have a family member or friend who lives in the US and you would like to send your swag package there, that works!

I don't live in the United States but have an APO/FPO address, can I participate? Yes. We are happy to able to send packages to our military service members overseas. (Note: Transit times are in the hands of USPS mail delivery and may vary by location.)

How do I register my dog(s)? First, start the registration process for yourself. When you get to the page where you enter your personal details (name, address, date of birth, etc), scroll all the way down to the bottom. There, you'll see options for adding a dog registration(s). Click to add one or more to your cart before checking out.

I already finished registering, but I forgot to add my kid and/or dog to my registration. Can I go back and add them? Yikes! Send us an email to info@doggydashers.com and we'll help you get this squared away.

Due to the upfront nature of event costs, we cannot offer refunds, transfers, or deferrals. Make sure that you are good to go when you sign up! All sales are 100% final.
